Editorial standards

Every article should answer a clear reader question: what the product is, who it is for, who should skip it, why it is included, and what the reader should check before buying.

We avoid publishing thin product lists that only repeat retailer descriptions. Our templates require summaries, tradeoffs, compatibility or dimensions checks when relevant, safety notes, image alt text, and clear calls to action.

Some drafts may be assisted by automation for formatting or first-pass organization. Final pages should explain who created the content, how it was created, why it exists, and avoid unsupported personal-experience claims.

For shoppable shorts, we keep the format faster and more visual, but the same rule still applies: the product should have a clear use case, visible shopping context, and an affiliate disclosure when links may earn a commission.

Research and fact-checking

Before publication, editors check available product information, images, retailer pages, pricing context when available, materials or feature claims, category fit, and obvious risks such as unclear sizing, questionable claims, or poor listing quality.

When a post includes comparisons, we separate observable facts from editorial judgment. If information cannot be verified from public product details, brand pages, retailer listings, or reliable sources, we avoid presenting it as a confirmed fact.

Short-form posts are checked for link accuracy, product match, thumbnail relevance, and whether the quick caption fairly represents the item being linked.

Updates and corrections

Retail listings, prices, availability, and product pages can change quickly. BestDailyLoot periodically reviews published articles and updates content when a material detail is outdated or no longer useful.

This also applies to shoppable shorts. If a product link changes, an item disappears, a thumbnail no longer matches, or a price-sensitive claim becomes outdated, we may update or remove the short.

If readers notice an error, outdated link, missing disclosure, or inaccurate product detail, they can contact us and request a correction.
